CancerWise – Chichester’s cancer support drop-in centre
Offering practical, emotional and social support to help cancer patients through diagnosis, treatment and beyond, CancerWise is a drop-in centre, based in Chichester, providing support services for people diagnosed with cancer, their families and carers.
The team behind CancerWise
Based in Chichester in West Sussex, CancerWise is run by a team of volunteers as well as paid members of staff who run day-to-day as well as fundraising activities. Operations Manager, Lisa, is on the ground ensuring the good work of the charity continues; Fundraising Manager, Emma, was helped by the charity when she went through her own cancer diagnosis; and Volunteer Co-ordinator and Fundraiser, Sam, joined the team after many years of volunteering.
What they do to support cancer patients
The drop-in centre provides a variety of activities and support services, ranging from coffee and a chat to complementary therapies, counselling, nutrition advice and group activities. They do an incredible job of supporting the whole person, at all stages of their cancer journey and no matter what their prognosis.
